URBAN VINTAGE WEDDING

On Saturday morning the ladies gathered together to get glammed up with Jen...

Jen's Badgley Mischka jeweled high heels were to die for...and an ice cold foot bath assisted with the perfect fit.
Getting her great-aunt's beautiful broach placed just perfectly.
Such a beautiful bride!
Ready to party!
True. Love.
Roomies + Husbands = good times!
Beautiful friends--Shandra and Jen
Jen's book club in Copenhagen.  These lovely women are from all over the world--Germany, Switzerland, America and Czech Republic--and they share an incredible bond.
Urban Vintage...everything that was a part of the decor was beautiful.  The city around the space, the plants of basil and other herbs, the lemon tree, and the amber glass on the tables.  Nothing was out of place and yet everything looked completely organic and natural.
This wedding was such a unique blend of traditions: old, new, American and Danish.  Something that was special in Danish custom, is that the bride and groom open their gifts at the reception.  It was so sweet to see them enjoying some down time together after their beautiful ceremony, while their guests enjoyed champagne and yummy snacks.
Jen and Allan treated us to an incredible three course meal that was truly life-changing...and that sweet little jar with burlap and twine? it is a gift of homemade strawberry jam that Jen made!  Our meal was not only delicious, but it was made even better by the fantastic company of those sitting at our table.  We completely adored the couple sitting across from us, and we were very thankful for the opportunity to get to know Jen and Allan's Danish friends better.
It is a Danish tradition that when the guests tap their glasses the bride and groom get under the table and kiss.  Then if the guests continue to tap...the bride and groom have to stand on their chairs and kiss...this party was full of so many wonderful laughs and new experiences.

Toasts...at weddings the Danes open the toasts to all of their guests.  The families on each side, friends, relatives prepare special things to say...and the bride and grooms toast one another...it is such a unique and special experience that provides great laughs and many sweet tears.
Let the dancing begin...and at 4am when we finally went to bed...we could not stop ourselves from saying with a smile, "that was an exceptionally great wedding"
Jen and Allan are truly a unique and amazing couple.  Their wedding was such a wonderful tribute to their relationship and we felt so incredibly lucky to be there to share in this celebration.

Feel so honored to have made it again on your blog. Our wedding wouldn't have been so great without the Foxes. We are so lucky.
